Hi, I am grendel25 from bitcointalk.org. I call Alaska home since I lived here since the 1970's but I was actually born in Hawaii. Yes, I have seen the best of the tropical islands and the frozen Arctic areas.
I've been into electronics all my life. I'm a network engineer so pretty techy on IP/TCP type stuff. Have some good certs CCNP and MCSE. But since 2014 my passion for crypto has really blossomed.
I tried to mine bitcoin in 2010 but my $100 GPU didn't do much... actually got nowhere with that. But in 2014 I picked it back up for some reason and really got captivated. This was just around the time it surged over $1200 and for the first time exceeded the price of gold. I guess that might explain my invigorated interest lol.
Well, here I am in 2017. I currently mine with a total of 8 GPUs but have deployed somewhere around 24 since 2014 but never had more than 8 GPUs going at one time. My goals are to: 1) expand my own mining operations, 2) Start my own crypto business (mostly for self employment, not customer oriented), 3) learn more about crypto and the various crypto projects and somehow contribute to the positive development of our community.
Nice to be here. Thank you for having me.
till next time...
